Jermaine Kearse ‘most improved’ at Seahawks camp

Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse barely made any impact as a receiver in his rookie season, but that could change this season, if his training camp performanceis any indication.

“Jermaine deserves the most improved award,” quarterback Russell Wilson told the Seattle Times Wednesday. “He was great before he came in, but he’s electrifying out there. He does a lot of great things.”

Kearse was undrafted in 2012 and finished with just three catches for 31 yards. He is battling for the No. 4 wideout spot, and has three catches for 43 yards and two touchdowns through two preseason games,.

Kearse can also make an impact in the return, as he showed in Saturday’s preseason win over the Broncos, when he took a kickoff 107 yards for a touchdown.
