Aldridge dealing with ankle injury

News: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was briefly sidelined Wednesday against he Nets, as he suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the game. He was able to return, but ultimately left the game for good in the fourth quarter due to the injury. He played well prior to leaving, scoring 24 points on 11 of 14 shooting in 32 minutes. He added four rebounds and three assists, in a game the Blazers would go on to lose, 111-93.

Analysis: Hopefully this injury does not prove to be a lingering one that forces him to miss time, as Aldridge has been playing at an exceptionally-high level recently. Aldridge is averaging 21.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in the month of March, with nine double-doubles in 14 games. We will keep an eye on Aldridge’s status moving forward, as he remains a must-start Fantasy option in all formats.
